# Add an Album

There are two ways to create an album:

### Method 1: Gallery Manager

1. Go to the **Gallery Manager** page.
2. Open **Organize Gallery**.
3. Click **Add Album**.
4. Enter an **album name** and optional **description**, then click **Add Album**.
5. The new album will appear in your list of albums.

### Method 2: From an Image

You can also create an album while assigning an image to an album:

1. Go to the **Gallery** and click an image to open its larger view.
2. In the image metadata, find the **Albums** field and click **Edit**.
3. In the **Manage Albums** popup, enter a name in the **Add New Album** field near the bottom.
4. Click **Create** to create the album.
5. Click **Save** to return to the image.

The new album will now be available for this and other images.

**Note:** If the **Albums** field is not appearing in the image metadata, the administrator may have removed **Albums** from the **Standard Fields** list under **Gallery Manager → Image Fields**.
