# Edit User Capabilities

You can customize the capabilities of an individual user beyond their assigned role.

1. Go to the **Gallery Manager** page.
2. Open **Manage Users**.
3. Scroll down to the **All Users** table.
4. Find the user you want to modify and click the **Settings** icon in their row.
5. The **Custom Capabilities** popup will appear. Toggle the capabilities you want to enable or disable for that user.
6. Click **Save Changes** to apply the new capabilities.

**Note:** Users with custom capabilities will have a *** custom** badge displayed beside their role. Their custom capabilities determine what they can do, rather than their assigned role.
